Ah...Shiner Bock. I picked it up here in Pennsylvania for 8 dollars a six pack. Now that's a little steep, I think, considering that at the same place I can get a 6 of Sam Adams for $7.50...granted, Sam's a beer from the northeast and Shiner is from the great state of Texas but...I just can't bring myself to love it. And I have to love a beer. There's no in between...really. In between beers for me are XXXX Lite. Or any pale lager of mass production. I don't want water with alcohol and a head. I want flavor, and complexity and...well, I want something special. I'll revisit Shiner Bock come Summer. Maybe in the brilliant sunshine and warmth of the Summer months I will find the elusive something that trips the trigger of the those trigger-happy Texans who love Shiner Bock. Until then mark me: undecided...about Shiner Bock.!
